February 19th saw our students engaged in celebrations of the Chinese lantern day. This event was entirely student-run and involved students participating in the 6 ancient skills of Chinese gentlemen. The students learnt “tea-ceremony” , “calligraphy”, “Chinese chess”,”Classical music”,”Archery” and “Insence burning”
This was a wonderful event that involved students at every level of the school engaging in both teaching and learning. Organized by our wonderful Chinese language and culture staff it was a testimony to our school beliefs’ in whole child education. As students engaged in all our core values while deepening their understanding of traditional Chinese culture.
